On Saturday, 29 August, the fifth edition of the Summer Fitness Challenge competition will be held on the Martulina beach in Peroj. This is an event in functional fitness that has grown over the past years into a recognisable sporting event, promoting a healthy lifestyle, recreation and community.
This year's edition is marked by its international character, as teams from Croatia, Slovenia and Italy will compete. The number of participants is strictly limited to 20 teams, and the competition is intended exclusively for teams composed of two men and one woman.
Participants will test their strength, endurance, speed and teamwork through four workouts. These challenges are designed to require a high level of physical fitness and coordination within the team, which is key to achieving good results in functional fitness.
The special guest of this year's event will be Augustin Viličnik, who recently secured 5. place at the CrossFit World Championships. The competition was held in California in the United States of America, and Viličnik's participation further raises the prestige of the Peroj event.
The organiser of the competition is Aleksa Dudić from Bura Crosslift, based in Peroj. Dudić is a prominent sports figure with an impressive career in martial arts. He is a multiple national champion in taekwondo and kickboxing, and in taekwondo he also won the European vice-championship title.
In addition to his European successes, Dudić is a World Cup winner and took 3. place at the World Kickboxing Championships. His experience and reputation in the world of sport contribute to the quality of the organisation of the Summer Fitness Challenge, which has been bringing together functional training enthusiasts for five years.
