In the sports hall of OŠ Stjepan Radić in Bibinje, at 3 Gumla Street, the second edition of the Adriatic Dance Trophy is taking place on Saturday, 3 October. This is a point-based tournament within the system of the Croatian Sports Dance Federation, with the organiser being the Belus Zadar Sports Dance Club.
The competition is expected to feature around 290 competitors from 13 clubs and seven Croatian cities. Competitors will perform as individuals, dance couples, and teams, with standard and Latin American dances on the programme. The categories include lower primary school children, primary school children, junior youth, youth, senior youth, and veterans.
The programme begins at 10:00 and is expected to conclude around 21:00. Entry for spectators is 8 euros. Last year, the point-based tournament was held in the Zadar area after more than ten years, and this year's edition continues that tradition.
The Adriatic Dance Trophy is held annually in October. The Belus Zadar Sports Dance Club will celebrate ten years of operation next year, and currently has around 400 members. The club has been holding the International Dance Festival in Zadar every May for several years.
The expected arrival of competitors from seven cities and 13 clubs confirms that this is one of the significant dance events in the region. Organisers have invited the public to support the competitors throughout the day's programme.
