No one on Šolta believes that the preliminary problems of the retail chain Studenac ( Studenac (a Croatian retail chain)) will lead to the closure of several of its stores located across the island, Slobodna Dalmacija (Slobodna Dalmacija (a Croatian news outlet)) has learned.
Residents of Šolta believe the issue is a minor problem that will be resolved very quickly. In their view, the situation facing the retail chain is not such that it would lead to the shutting down of shops on the island.
If the problem is not resolved, residents of Šolta say they will manage. They convey that they are not afraid of possible consequences for the daily supply of goods on the island.
A new Tommy store will soon open, further changing the retail landscape on Šolta and giving residents an alternative regardless of the outcome of Studenac's ( Studenac (a Croatian retail chain)) preliminary proceedings.
