The Autumn Meeting of Property Managers is taking place in Sveti Martin from 14 to 16 October, a traditional gathering where professionals discuss current challenges, legislative changes, and the improvement of building management in Croatia.
The conference is organised by the 'Upravitelj' Association, the largest professional association in Croatia, which has been connecting property managers from across the country for 27 years. The host for this year's meeting is Euroland d.o.o. from Čakovec, with nearly 200 participants attending.
The director of Euroland, Renato Slaviček, welcomed attendees to Međimurje, the northernmost part of Croatia. The opening addresses were delivered by the president of the 'Upravitelj' Association, Dražen Pomper, and the mayor of the Municipality of Sveti Martin, Martin Šrša, with the mayor of the City of Čakovec, Ljerka Cividini, also offering her support. A musical welcome was provided by Žaklin Hajdarević, who performed the song 'Tu dobri su ljudi' (Good People Are Here).
The conference programme features a series of professional lectures and discussions. Prominent topics include new co-ownership agreements, the organisation of buildings with multiple co-owners, the installation of lifts in existing buildings, and technical inspections and condition assessments of buildings.
Special attention is being paid to annual maintenance plans, the financing of necessary works, obligations related to thermal energy, and relationships with utility providers, as well as the preparation and implementation of energy renovation projects. Participants are also reviewing updates related to the Law on the Management and Maintenance of Buildings, along with practical questions regarding its application.
