In the morning, the sky will mostly be clear, but cloud cover will gradually increase, with rain expected in places, especially in the evening, according to the forecast from the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ).
The wind will be weak to moderate from the south-west, or south in the Adriatic. In the afternoon, the wind in the interior will turn to a strong, temporary northern wind, while on the Adriatic coast, particularly in the north, it will turn to a bura with stormy gusts by the end of the day.
The lowest morning temperature will be between 6 and 11 °C, in the mountains between 2 and 6 °C, and on the Adriatic coast between 11 and 16 °C. The highest daily temperature will range from 19 to 24 °C.
For Saturday, the DHMZ forecasts changeable weather with increasingly sunny periods. Rain and thunderstorms are expected, particularly in the Dalmatian region, with local heavy rain and temporary strong wind. The most sunshine is expected in the northern Adriatic.
The DHMZ has issued a yellow alert for three regions: Knin, Split, and Dubrovnik. A video of the storm system approaching Lastovo was also published on Facebook.
