The well-known entrepreneur from Jastrebarsko, Davorin Štetner, captured a concerning situation at the popular beach in Nin, which quickly sparked outrage on social media. The footage clearly shows a person riding a jet ski, pulling someone on a tube, without paying sufficient attention to the surrounding circumstances.
The critical aspect of the incident is that the jet ski operator was in close proximity to Fire Boss aircraft. These specialised aircraft were actively involved in fighting the fire, drawing water from the surrounding area to combat the flames.
Such behaviour on the water, in an area of intense air traffic and emergency response, is considered highly dangerous. The footage went viral, with the public strongly condemning the reckless behaviour of individuals who, by their actions, endangered not only themselves but also the effectiveness of the fire-fighting operations and the safety of other beachgoers.
Consequently, D. Š. did not remain a passive observer of the events. After documenting the incident, the entrepreneur reported the situation to the police, so that the circumstances and responsibilities could be established.
D. Š. has also announced that he will file a criminal complaint against the perpetrator. In this way, he made it clear that he intends to legally prosecute such actions, highlighting the need for stricter oversight and greater respect for safety measures in tourist areas during the summer season.
