The association sent one rescue boat to Nemiri following a call. On the beach in Nemiri, approximately 300 people were waiting for evacuation, with large flames close to those on the beach.
Conditions at sea were extremely difficult and dangerous. Gusts of the bura wind reached 30 knots, with waves continuously sweeping over the small tender boats. The maritime police led the patrol with lights, while private tenders and boats collected children, mothers, elderly people, and one pregnant woman.
The transfer to the passenger vessel, which was moored nearby, took about an hour and a half. This intervention highlights the bravery of local seafarers who acted spontaneously and effectively in extremely difficult weather conditions, ensuring the safety of a large number of people on the beach.
