A major fire response operation took place on Thursday night in the settlement of Ninčević, near Solina, where a fire broke out in the vegetation. The intervention required a significant deployment of forces, with a total of 95 firefighters taking part. The operational response involved the use of 31 fire engines, demonstrating the scale and complexity of the intervention on the ground.
The work of the firefighters was intense throughout the night, with a key milestone reached at 1am when the fire was brought under control. Although the fire was primarily contained, forces remained on site to monitor the area and prevent the fire from breaking out again. In the final stage of the extinguishing operation, personnel from multiple brigades participated, including the DVD Solin, DVD Vranjic, DVD Klis, DVD Muć, DVD Split, DVD Žrnovnica, DVD Slatine, DVD Podstrana, DVD Mladost, DVD Gomilica, DVD Kaštel and DVD Trogir.
In addition to local forces, personnel from the Split Fire Department, the Podstrana Fire Department and the Trogir Fire Department were present on the scene. Their cooperation was key to controlling the situation, as the fire was affecting low vegetation as well as pine forests, which requires specific approaches to extinguishing. All forces worked in a coordinated manner to prevent the spread of the fire and ensure the safety of the surrounding area.
