The summer enrolment round for secondary schools has officially concluded, and the Ministry of Education has published final data on enrolled tracks. Analysis shows that the list of enrolled tracks includes a total of five gymnasium and five vocational programmes, with the ranking list applying the criterion that only tracks with ten or more enrolled students are considered.
At the top of the ranking list is the general track of the gymnasium in Požega. Students enrolled in this track achieved an average score of 76.25, recording the best result among all considered programmes. In second place is the natural sciences-mathematics track at the same institution, where enrollees achieved an average of 76.19 points, which is seven hundredths less than the top-ranked.
Third place on the ranking list is taken by the general track at the secondary school in Pakrac. Students enrolled in this programme achieved an average grade of 72.36. The difference in score load within this enrolment cohort is 33.61, indicating a significant disparity in achievements within the same enrolment group.
Fourth place on the ranking list is held by the business economics officer track at the economic school. Students enrolled in this vocational programme achieved an average score of 68.74. Although this is a vocational track, the high average level attests to the quality of the enrolled candidates.
Fifth place on the ranking list is held by the track for electric machine and electrical engineering technician at the technical school. Students enrolled in this track achieved an average grade of 67.21. Although these figures are below the average for gymnasium tracks, they still represent a solid result within vocational education.
The list also includes the Catholic Gymnasium in Požega, whose founder is the Diocese of Požega. Students enrolled at this institution achieved an average score of 62.90. At the Catholic Gymnasium, the first student on the list had 80 points, and the last 36.88, indicating a significant difference in achievements within the same enrolment group.
On the other hand, the secondary school in Pakrac offers a range of vocational programmes, including the medical nurse track and the dry construction fitter track. These vocational programmes are also part of the broader education system, but were not part of the ranking list due to the smaller number of enrolled students.
