In cooperation with the Pag City Tourist Board, Natura Jadera, Solana Pag and the Juraj Dalmatinac Primary School, an educational gathering was held dedicated to the richness of the bird world. The event was staged in the unique natural environment of Solana Pag, where European Birdwatching Day was marked.

European Birdwatching Day is an international initiative that brings together nature lovers and birdwatchers with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of conserving bird species and their habitats. It is a manifestation held across Europe, with the goal of encouraging citizens to observe and better understand the bird world.

The event was jointly organised by the Pag City Tourist Board, Natura Jadera, Solana Pag and the Juraj Dalmatinac Primary School. Thanks to this cooperation, participants had the opportunity to spend an educational morning in nature, learning about different bird species, their habitats and the importance of conserving sensitive ecosystems.

The city of Pag has stated that the potential for developing tourism based on birdwatching is increasingly being recognised. This type of tourism, focused on observing and learning about the bird world, is becoming more prevalent in the offerings of destinations that nurture preserved nature.

The marking of European Birdwatching Day thus also served as an opportunity to promote Pag as a destination that nurtures a sustainable form of tourism. Participants gained new knowledge about birds and their habitats through their time in nature, further emphasising the importance of protecting sensitive ecosystems.
