As part of the LIVING LANDSCAPES project, activities aimed at educating the youngest about the importance of nature conservation, environmental protection and biodiversity continue. On Thursday, 5 November 2026, the second local workshop for children was held at the Prelog Sports and Recreation Zone, the City of Prelog announced.

Through a series of interesting, creative and interactive activities, the children had the opportunity to become true little nature explorers. The workshop covered three thematic units, designed to bring the world around the participants closer to them in a familiar and accessible way.

The first unit, titled “Little Detectives of Biodiversity”, was dedicated to exploring and getting to know the richness of the living world that surrounds us. The second unit, “Nature is our playground – playing through the world of plants and animals”, enabled learning about nature through play, fun and joint activities. The third unit, “Little stones tell the story of nature”, encouraged creative expression and creation inspired by nature and its richness.

Through such workshops, children develop awareness of the importance of preserving natural biodiversity in an interesting and familiar way, get to know the plant and animal world, and learn how their everyday actions can contribute to environmental protection.

The workshops were led by Filip Židov and Nenad Podgorelec, who brought the importance of nature conservation closer to the children through educational, investigative and creative activities. The LIVING LANDSCAPES project is implemented with financial support from the INTERREG VI-A Hungary – Croatia 2021–2027 Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.
