Ri’s Purity has purchased executive and administrative vehicles in the past year for a total of €393,647.32. The figure was published by local activist Paul Simunović in the Facebook group STOP DEVAŠACIJI – Rijeka and Surroundings (P.S. without filter).
At the same time, workers have been warning for months about the defective trucks and machinery used to clean the city. They claim that some vehicles lack air conditioning, that their safety is questionable, and that employees are asked to sign a declaration confirming that the vehicles and machinery are in working order.
Simunović states that the director of Purity, Velimirović, is aware of the problems but has not reacted. In May 2026, the trade union representative Ćenan Beljulji, known for his role in the film Fiume o morte!, also highlighted the issue with the vehicle fleet.
Beljulski stated that the issue had been raised with management, but there had been no concrete response. He noted that the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency had participated in the funding of the vehicle, and posed the question of what had happened to the project after the vehicle was purchased. He criticised the lack of accountability for the truck, which, according to his claims, is not used despite the money invested in its purchase.
