The concert-performance 'Directors' will visit on Saturday, 17 October, at 18:00 at the Gervais Centre in Opatia. The performance is aimed at older preschool children, primary school pupils and families, with children getting to know the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart through humour, play and unpredictable situations.
The production is by the Osijek Cultural Centre, and the director of the performance is Ivan Kristian Majić. The plot follows two stage workers who are preparing the stage, arranging instruments and sheet music. Their playfulness leads to problems when the orchestra and the strict conductor arrive, so instead of a quiet concert, a series of comic situations begins — hiding, chasing, conducting and playing, set to Mozart's music.
The cast includes Silvio Švast, Hana Schönfeld and Grga Grgić. The musical ensemble consists of violinists Béla Nagy and Vladimir Piskunov, violist Veronika Kilmayer, cellist Maja Iljovski, bassist Siniša Mažal, flautist Mia Mandić, clarinettist Žana Smoje, bassoonist Domagoj Pećar and percussionist László Kollar.
The performance begins on Saturday, 17 October, at 18:00 in the large hall of the Gervais Centre in Opatia. Tickets are priced at €5.50, available via the MojKarte.hr system and its sales points. On the day of the performance, tickets can also be purchased at the ground floor of the Gervai Centre from 17:00.
A family discount is offered for the purchase of three or more tickets at the festival box office, at a price of €4 per ticket. The programme is part of the third season of the Konci.hr project, a national platform of the Croatian Association of Music Organisers (HUGO).
The project brings together five partner cities, nine locations and 35 events during 2026, with the Festival Opatia being one of the partners in the project.
