The controversy arose during an evening dedicated to the memory of Oliver Dragojević, when Brčić-Šuška performed the song 'I'm Leaving You Alone' (Ostavljam te sam). Her performance drew numerous comments from the public, among which the sharp criticism of Jacques Houdek stood out.
Lisac publicly refuted the negative assessments of the performance, expressing a different impression. 'On the contrary, I really liked it,' said Lisac, thereby clearly standing by the young singer. This confirmed her conviction that young talents should have the space to experiment and progress, without fear of unnecessary censorship or excessive criticism.
