The German family of Susanne and Oliver Dausin from Bremen has been coming to Mline for 15 years, where they stay with the Handabak family. Their connection to the place goes back much further than their recent holidays.
The story with Mline began 50 years ago, when Oliver first came to the place as an eight-year-old boy. He arrived with his family and stayed with the Handabak family, who hosted them. The memory of the holidays spent in Mline as a child remained so strong that he wanted to return to the place and find the family that had received them.
When he found them, he had an old business card that his family had received many years ago. The card had only a name and a phone number, but that was enough for the two families to reconnect after many years. Oliver has been returning to Mline regularly since then.
For the past 15 years, he has come to Mline with his wife Susanne, twice a year. The couple is drawn to the beauty of the place, its tranquility, and the people, who, as they point out, are always kind and friendly. Oliver particularly enjoys fishing with the host, which has become part of their shared summer ritual.
