The Croatian Cup qualifiers begin today, with one of the groups playing in Zadar, at the Višnjik pool. Hosts Zadar 1952 will host Medveščak Zagreb and KPK Korčula, and the aim of all three is to secure one of the top two places that lead to the quarter-finals.

The local side will open the tournament at 12:00 against Medveščak, which is also the first of two matches on the day at Višnjak. In the evening session, at 18:00, Medveščak and KPK Korčula will meet. The final match of the Zadar tournament is scheduled for Sunday at midday, when Zadar 1952 will face off against KPK Korčula. After three matches, it will be clear which two teams from the Zadar group will advance.

The second qualifying round takes place in Split at the Poljud pool, where POŠK Split, Primorje Rijeka and Mornar Split are competing. Yesterday, POŠK and Primorje faced each other, with the match ending in a 17-13 victory for the Split side. Today, two matches are scheduled: Mornar Split and Primorje play at 11:00, while POŠK and Mornan meet at 19:00.

The two best teams from Split and Zadar will secure a place in the Croatian Cup quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, last year’s finalists Mlad Zagreb, Hrvatski Dragovoljac, Jug Dubrovnik and Solar Šibenak are already waiting.
