Gabriel Karamarko, a 21-year-old playmaker from Zadar, has officially become a new member of GKK Šibenka (Šibenik Basketball Club). This move represents the second summer signing for the Šibenik club, given that Jure Škifić signed with the team prior to Karamarko.

Karamarko began his career after his junior stint with Široki in Šibenik. After two seasons spent at that club, he decided to change environment and move to Alkar from Sinj.

Last season, Karamarko played for the Sinj club, where he recorded average statistical figures of 4.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and two assists per match. His play at Alkar was key to his development as a playmaker in higher competition.

Šibenka was relegated from the Premier League last season, prompting the club to intensify preparations for a return to the top tier of Croatian basketball. The acquisition of Karamarko is part of a broader strategy by the management to strengthen the squad and secure promotion back to the top.

As a young talent from Zadar, Karamarko brings freshness and experience from Premier League competition. His ability to organise play and score points will be of great importance to Šibenka in the upcoming season.
