Significant sporting achievements were recorded for representatives of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County at the National Final of the Plazma Sports Games for Youth. MRK Kozala secured the vice-champion title in handball, while Kastav became vice-champions of Croatia in the 3x3 discipline. These results are a testament to the high level of competition at which the best teams and individuals from across Croatia compete for the title of SIM national champions.

Alongside handball and basketball, the competitive programme includes other branches of sport. The boundary guard and athletics competitions were held in July as part of the Telemach Sports Days. These disciplines took place within a specific scheduling framework, paving the way for the continuation of the main competitive cycle to follow.

The National Final of the Plazma Sports Games for Youth now moves to Rijeka, where the battle for the highest medals will continue. The city on the Kvarner Gulf takes on the role of host for the coming weeks, becoming the centre of the Croatian sporting event for this age group. It is planned that competitions will take place in nine different sports disciplines.

Kvarner will host participants from all corners of the country during August. An intensive programme is expected, in which the best young athletes will test their strength. Rijeka will thus be the place where the final winners in the aforementioned disciplines will be decided.
