Kraljevica basketball players defeated Rudar 114-66 in a match of the first round of the Second League of Basketball – West. The game was played at the House of Sport and Culture, and Kraljevica dominated from the very beginning.
It was clear after the first quarter which way the match was going – Kraljevica led 30-12. They won the second period 24-13, the third 24-18, and in the last quarter increased their lead to a final 36-23.
The most efficient individual in the Kraljevica ranks was Konjević with 17 points. Vrcan and Vidov added 14 each, while Miljković and Zubčić scored 13 points each. Barić finished with 12, Jurković with nine, and Haler and Marković with six points each. Zvonar and Grbeš scored four points each, and Brletić two.
For Rudar, Wiley stood out with 29 points, while Bratulić added 13. Rajković and Kuzmanović scored nine points each, and Kovačević, Hadžić and Šumberac two each. Ustić also played for Rudar.
In the second round, Kastav beat Krk 80-53 on home ground at the Matija Katalinić hall. The quarters ended 12-9, 24-8, 23-17 and 21-19.
For Kastav, Baćac Simper and Gušić scored 16 points each, Božić 15, and Pepelar 12. Kordić Gružić scored nine, Rakuljić seven, Shahinian three, and Zatezalo two points. Barković, Domnik and Miletić also played for Kastav.
For Krk, the best was Karabaić with 19 points, while Marijan added 15. Jozić and Dujmović scored eight each, and Maglić three points. Turkalj, Matanić, Malović, Tomee, Dminić and Mohorić also played for Krk.
In the second round, Kvarner J. – Kraljevica play today at 20.30. On the table, Stoja and Pula have four points each, Pazin three, and Kraljevica, Kastav, Rovinj and Krk two points each. Kvarner Junior and Rudar have one point each.
