Radnik's basketball players took second place at the 'The bells of our Cathedral are ringing' tournament in Đakovo. The tournament served as a test ahead of the start of the new season, with the Križevci team joined by first-division sides Đakovo, Zagreb, and Marsonia.
Radnik defeated the home side Đakovo 93-78 in the semi-finals. The Krißvci played an even match against Đakovo, with a clear advantage only achieved in the final quarter. The most effective in the victory was Petranović with 22 points, while Jelenek added 19 points. Cindrić scored 13, Svoboda 11, and Valenti nine points. Gunjina added eight, Brkić four, while Gužvinec and Rolčić each scored three points. Belko finished the match with two points.
In the final, Radpak played against Marsonia from Slavonski Brod. The Križevci held the tie in the first half, but Marsonia left the rest with nine points. In the second half, Radpak did not manage to overturn the result and had to settle for silver.
Svoboda was the top scorer with 22 points, and Gunjina scored 18 points. Jelenek scored seven, Cindrić six, and Petranović five points. Fržović and Bolčić each scored four points, while Gužvinec and Brkić finished with two points each. For Radpak, Belko, Kurp, and Valenti also played in the final.
