The 18th Goran Plaque Memorial took place this weekend in Koprivnica, with four young teams taking part. The tournament brought together teams from Varaždin, Daru, Koprivnica and Virovitica, and ended with a convincing victory for the Varaždin team.
In the first semi-final, Varaždin defeated Dar '22 69-22. This marked the team's advance to the semi-finals, where they faced Dar '22. The team from Dar '22 was eliminated from the competition without reaching the final.
In the second semi-final, the home team of Koprin won against the Croatian Virka 44-29. Thus, the home team secured a place in the final, where they faced Varazdin.
In the final, the Varazdin team was better with 74:38 and thus won the title of the 18th Memorial of Goran Plac. Koprivnica finished in second place, while Dar '22 and Virovitica were left without a final.
The tournament is traditionally held in Koprivnica and brings together young teams from the region, with this year's edition ending in a convincing display of Varazdin's dominance in both semi-final matches.
