The concluding Pairs Masters marked the end of this year's club league for Teniski klub Radnik Križevci (TK Radnik Križevci). Radoš and Kuzel claimed the title after defeating Vrtarić and Tutić 6-0, 6-1 in the final.
The final tournament featured the four best pairs who had qualified for the Masters during the season. Alongside the finalists, Ruklin and Katanović, and Međimorec and Šket, also competed. The semi-finals produced uncertain tennis and a fierce battle for a place in the final, with Međimorec and Šket losing only after an extremely dramatic tie-break with a score of 16-14.
In the final, Radoš and Kuzel were more successful than Vrtarić and Tutić, winning in two sets 6-0, 6-1. The club emphasises that the final encounter was significantly closer than the numbers indicate. Almost every game brought interesting exchanges and opportunities for both sides, and Radoš and Kuzel were more effective in the decisive moments.
This tournament concluded another season of the club league, which gathered numerous tennis enthusiasts throughout the year. The club league contributed to the development of recreational and competitive tennis in Križevci.
TK Radnik thanked all participants, the City of Križevci for financial support through the sports association support project, and the host Stanko, who looked after the conditions for playing matches throughout the season.
The club league will continue next year, but in a slightly modified format. Details of the new format will be presented before the start of the new season.
