Real Madrid have confirmed the arrival of 19-year-old Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig via their social media channels. The young winger has signed a seven-year contract, until the summer of 2033. The transfer fee stands at €125 million, with a further €15 million in potential bonuses, representing the largest fixed fee in the club’s history.
This move marks a new milestone for Real Madrid, although the total sum is not the highest in the club’s history. The previous record transfer was that of Jude Bellingham, who joined from Borussia Dortmund for €127 million. Bellingham’s transfer included a fixed fee of €103 million and up to €30.9 million in performance-related bonuses.
Diomande was born in Abidjan and played for Leganés before moving to RB Leipzig. In his first season, he made 33 league appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists. His performances attracted the attention of Europe’s top clubs.
The young forward was part of the Ivory Coast squad at the World Cup. The Ivorian side successfully reached the knockout stage, further confirming his potential on the international stage. Diomande now continues his career at one of the world’s most powerful clubs.
