The town of Valpovo is covering the cost of mandatory medical examinations for its athletes, thereby ensuring healthcare for approximately 750 active athletes in the area. This measure is part of a broader effort by the local authorities to improve the conditions for sport, with funding provided from the budget in the amount of 40,00.00 euros.
The key element of this change is the introduction of a new regulation on health examinations, which came into force and brings significant changes to the previous situation. The new regulations include twice the number of medical tests compared to the previous standards, thereby raising the level of healthcare and safety for all participants in sports activities.
The health check process takes place once a year, allowing athletes to regularly monitor their health. Although the cost of an individual examination is estimated at between 40 and 80 euros, the town covers the entire cost, thereby relieving athletes of the financial burden and ensuring they have equal access to healthcare.
This initiative fits into the broader plan of the local authorities, who are seeking to improve the conditions for sport, while simultaneously strengthening healthcare for all participants in sports activities in the area.
