Five teenagers were seriously injured in a stabbing at a Halloween party in England. The attack took place last night in the village of Chandler's Ford, near the town of Eastleigh in southern England, and police were called shortly after 22:30.

The five injured boys, three aged 16 and two aged 17, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police suspect that an as yet unknown group of people managed to enter a party being held at a house on Park Road, after which the stabbing occurred.

The area around the house remains cordoned off with police tape today, and the investigation is ongoing. Police have appealed to anyone who saw anything or has information about the attack to come forward.

The lead investigator, Detective Elizabeth Pirie, said she was aware of how much this incident had disturbed the local community and thanked residents for their patience.

One witness said that several emergency vehicles, including an air ambulance, arrived at the scene of the attack. Another witness recounted seeing a person run out of the house shouting that they had been stabbed and that they were being chased by two people.

British MP Liz Jarvis also commented on the attack. She wrote that her thoughts were with the victims and their families, and with everyone affected by last night's incident in Chandler's Ford. She thanked the local police and emergency services for their rapid response, adding that it was important not to speculate or spread unverified information.
