The town of Ludbreg is opening calls for applications for grants to pig and dairy cattle breeders, with applications accepted from 10 July. The measures aim to ease production costs for family farms and encourage livestock farming within the town's area.
Under Measure 7, breeding and rearing of sows and fattening pigs is supported. The grant amounts to €80 per sow and €50 per fattening pig, with a maximum of €650 per beneficiary.
Measure 8 is intended for dairy cattle breeding. The grant amounts to €100 per head for a minimum of two and a maximum of five cows, meaning the maximum amount per beneficiary reaches €500.
Applications can be submitted by registered agricultural holdings that meet the conditions of the call. Details on the application conditions, required documentation, and forms are published on the official website of the Municipality of Ludbreg.
The mayor, Dubravko Bilić, stated that the measures are part of continuous support for local agriculture and rural life. "We are aware that grants alone cannot solve all the challenges our farmers face, but we want to help them continue their production. Every farm that continues to breed means preserving local production, work habits, and life in our settlements," Bilić said.
