In Kraljević, the Day of Victory and Independence and the Day of Croatian Defenders were celebrated on the 31st anniversary of the Operation Storm. The ceremonies were dedicated to remembering Croatian defenders and the events that marked the Homeland War.
As part of the programme, the Croatian flag was raised on the bell tower of St Nicholas’s church, symbolically highlighting the pride and remembrance of the achieved victory. This act is part of a wider series of commemorations taking place across Croatia in honour of those who took part in the liberation of the territory.
Representatives of the town of Kraljević, led by the mayor, laid wreaths at the monument to the fallen defenders. In this way, they paid tribute to all those who gave their lives for the defence of the homeland during the Homeland War.
