Residents of the Budrovac settlement, a suburb of Đurđevac, have been without drinking water since 10:00 am. The disruption occurred at a time when the city was hit by an intense heatwave, compounding the difficulty for local residents.
No official statement has been issued by the municipal company responsible for water distribution, regarding the reasons for the outage or the expected time for the restoration of supply. The lack of communication has left residents without clear information on when normal service will resume.
Despite the disruption to the centralised system, some households in Budrovac have managed to meet their basic needs using street water points. These hydrants or public taps, which remain functional, have not run dry, allowing residents to access water despite the main supply being cut off.
Similar water supply issues have been reported in other parts of the city, specifically in the settlements of Mičević and Čepelovac. Disruptions to the normal functioning of the network have been recorded in these areas, indicating a broader infrastructure issue.
In Mičević and Čepelac, the municipal water supply is occasionally out of service, creating instability in the water supply for local residents. Although no direct link is drawn to today's outage in Budrovac, the frequent breakdowns in these areas further strain the perception of the reliability of the city's water network.
