In Buje, the start of construction of a new multi-family residential building from the Socially Supported Housing Programme (Program društveno poticane stanogradnje - POS) was ceremonially marked, in which 20 flats will be sold at subsidised prices. The investment is worth around €2.7 million including VAT, and the completion of works is expected in one year.
The foundation stone was laid by the Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property Branko Bačić. He emphasised that housing is one of the fundamental needs of life and announced that after the completion of current POS projects, the state will focus on the development of affordable housing models.
The works are being carried out by the company Vladimir Gortan, and the selling price of the flats will be €2,104 per square metre.
The mayor of Buje, Fabrizio Vižintin, assessed that this is an important project for the town and its citizens. "This project represents a significant step forward in securing better living conditions for our fellow citizens. I believe that it will enable many young families to solve their housing problems precisely in Buje and build their future here," Vižintin said.
The director of the Agency for Legal Transactions and Intermediation in Real Estate, Dragan Hristov, also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony.
