Igor Domljanović, head of the HDZ and Homeland Movement list for the Žrnovnica Local Committee, presented his list's programme with an emphasis on communal infrastructure and cooperation with the City of Split. He asserted that during the last four years there had been too much political debate and too little concrete resolution of everyday problems.
Among the priorities, Domljanović cited more regular communal maintenance, traffic solutions for Žrnovnica and Korešnica, the road in Brdine, the extension of the bridge near Rusi, the development of the riverside promenade, sports facilities, and the continuation of previously started projects for the nursery, school, cemetery, and fire station. He stated that his list wished to solve problems through cooperation with city services, and as one of the first moves announced a meeting with the city's communal services.
Tanja Soldić, a candidate on the Independent List of Špira Vlajić, rejects the claim that almost nothing was done in Žrnovnica in recent years. She notes that during the first three years of the previous term, cooperation with the then-city authorities was constructive, and claims that the problem in cooperation arose after the change in city government.
Soldić presented a list of projects and interventions she attributes to the work of the previous assembly and cooperation with city and other institutions. According to her, among the projects are the initiation of the agglomeration project, organisation of children's transport, development of turning points and traffic signage, repair of the clinic roof, construction of footpaths and ramps for people with disabilities, and work on the Pricviće sports complex. She also cites the installation of protective nets and repair of the military fence near the school, development of existing and construction of a new playground, and the initiation of the cemetery extension project.
Among the projects, Soldić cites the initiation of the process for building a nursery, for which she says the main project with the cost estimate is being prepared, as well as projects related to the school and the future fire station. She claims that during the previous period, roads and retaining walls were repaired, among others in the Rakita and Put Roguljića areas, lighting in certain streets and in the town centre was developed, and protective fences were installed along roads. The list also includes repair of the library roof, fencing at the cemetery, a memorial room, an irrigation system in the square, and restoration of inscriptions on the monument.
Soldić particularly highlighted the Žrnovnica Brass Band, for which she notes that it received the status of City Band during the previous period. She also claims that the protection of the Rakita bridge was raised to the national level and that property-legal relations for Brdine Street were resolved, for which she notes that a building permit was obtained in 2024.
Soldić also listed projects for which she says requests were made to the current city government during the last year. Among these are the reinforcement of the Rakita bridge, development of the Barbarić access road, retention of the old water supply for technical water needs, continuation of the agglomeration project for Vilar and procurement of pumps, raising the retaining wall next to the playground in Korešnica, and the possibility of co-financing the emptying of septic tanks. According to her claims, some of these requests have not yet received concrete follow-up or response.
Regarding the Barbarić access road, Soldić notes that conceptual documentation was previously prepared and a model for solving the problem was found in cooperation with Croatian Waters and landowners. She also states that they tried to resolve the Perun issue through documentation, meetings, and seeking official responses, but claims they were not given access to all the documentation they consider important for the planned interventions in that area. She adds that on 17 September, representatives of the City of Split, the Split-Dalmatia County, and Croatian Roads were invited to a meeting, but that, according to her claim, the invited representatives did not appear. She emphasises that she opposes the possible transport of materials to the Perun area until all circumstances and documentation related to the planned intervention are clarified.
Soldić stated that other members of the previous assembly should also publicly show the projects they worked on. She stressed that she had publicly published her own work during the previous term and that she had cooperated with the then-president of the local committee and independent councillors. She stated: "I am not guided by slandering inaction, but I respect and defend work." She wished the future assembly success in voluntary work.
Elections for local committees will be held on 27 September.
