The mayor of Zlatar, Jasna Auguštan, visited the construction site of the new bridge in Ulica Vladimira Nazora, where work is underway on an infrastructure project that will replace the existing 2.5-metre-wide bridge. The new bridge will be seven metres wide, allowing for future landscaping of the roadway and the construction of a footpath.

Auguštan stated that the bridge is designed to be long-lasting, serving future generations. She highlighted that the bridge's width will allow for future landscaping of the roadway and the construction of a footpath, significantly improving the daily lives of residents in Ulica Vladimira Nazora.

The mayor stated that there are comments being made, with anonymous letters and reports sent to various institutions regarding the project. She emphasised that the bridge project has building permission and is being carried out according to the project documentation. "We have no problem with relevant authorities checking any part of the project," Augušsan said, adding that everything they do must be transparent and in accordance with regulations.

She thanked the residents of Ulica Vladimira Nazora for their patience during the works, their communication, and their understanding. She highlighted that the local residents best know how much a renovated street, a new bridge, and a future footpath would mean in their daily lives.

Auguštan stated that when construction takes place, there is dust, machinery, and open roads for a short time, which is an integral part of any major project. "Our job is to look several steps ahead and create infrastructure that will serve not just today," she said. The works will be completed, and what they build will remain for generations to come, the mayor said.

In conclusion, she stated that every project must be planned long-term, and that they are not building only for today, but for a Zlatar that must function tomorrow.
