The town of Glina will this year mark the 35th anniversary of the wartime suffering and persecution of the Croatian population from the Glina area through Remembrance Days 2026. A series of commemorative programmes at multiple locations will honour the victims and preserve the memory of the events of 1991 and the persecution of the Croatian population from the Glina area.
The programme begins on 30 September in Gornji Viduševac, where the 35th anniversary of the persecution of the Croatian population from the Town of Glina area will be marked at 10:00. The commemoration is organised by the Association of Volunteers and Veterans of the Homeland War of the Republic of Croatia – Glina Branch.
Remembrance Days continue on 2 October. The programme in Velika Solina begins at 16:00, organised by the Home Club of Velika Solina, with a commemoration scheduled at 17:00 in Pokole Forest. Participants in Pokole Forest include the Homeland Society of Bučica, DVD Bučica, DVD Taborište, and the Hunting Association "Lane" Bučica.
A special part of the programme will be held on 3 October at 11:00 in Gornji Jamama, where the "Golubica" memorial monument will be unveiled. Participants in the Gornji Jamama programme include the Ministry of Croatian Veterans and the Town of Glina.
The commemoration continues on 4 October, first in Stankovac at 14:00. The commemoration then continues later that day in Mala Solina at 16:00, with the programme organised by the Home Club of Mala Solina.
This year's Remembrance Days will conclude on 16 October in Novo Selo Glinsko. The programme will begin at 17:00, organised by the Home Club of Novo Selo Glinsko.
