The leader of Most and MP Nikola Grmoja on Wednesday firmly rejected criticisms by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić directed at the Operacija Oluja (Storm) operation. Stating that he is not interested in messages from Serbia, Grmojah emphasized that the key is the memory of the contributions of Croatian veterans who made possible the liberation of occupied areas.
Grmoja expressed deep pride and happiness at being able to attend the celebration of the greatest Croatian victory in recent history. In his address, he stated that this victory resulted in the liberation of territory and that it is necessary to express gratitude to all veterans who, through their actions, secured the freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of the state.
Special attention was given to remembering the victims, with the point made that we must never forget what Croatian veterans have given for this cause. He believes that it is up to the new generation to achieve all that their predecessors fought for and were willing to give their lives for. This includes building a society worthy of their sacrifice.
The main goal for which the veterans fought, Grmoja defined as a just Croatia. Such a state, in his view, must be a country where every Croatian has equal opportunities for life and progress. He pointed out that one must still strive to achieve this ideal state.
In conclusion, he expressed hope that together they would manage to fight for such a Croatia. The message is clear: until complete justice and equality of opportunity are achieved, the struggle for ideal values continues, even though the key military objectives have already been achieved.
