The town of Ploče is initiating a process to assess the environmental impact of three significant urban plans within its jurisdiction. These are the ‘Birina’ Urban Plan, the amendments to the ‘Vranjak 3’ Urban Plan, and the ‘Vranjak 2’ Urban Plan.
The decision to proceed was made by the mayor of Ploče. This formally initiates the procedure to determine whether a strategic environmental assessment is required for each plan.
The procedures relate to the planning and development of industrial zones and the Birina area. These areas have been identified as significant urban zones within the town’s territory.
The impact assessment precedes the subsequent steps in the drafting and adoption of the aforementioned plans. Depending on the outcome, a strategic environmental impact assessment will be prepared.
The decisions apply to all three plans simultaneously, as the town of Ploče initiates the procedures for the entire set of urban documents covering these areas.
