PUKS marked World Mental Health Day, which is observed on 10 October, with a series of activities focused on the importance of conversation, connection, and mutual support. The activities were part of the 'For Mental Health' project, co-financed by the city of Belišće and the Osijek-Baranja County.
The association participated in the Zagreb Marathon, and on Saturday, 10 October, it joined a public awareness action on mental health at the Autumn Festival. There, they posed simple questions to passers-by about what motivates and drives them in their daily lives, in return for which they offered a modest gift and a positive message.
The day later, on Sunday, 11 October, volunteer Josip Ajdović provided special support to the theme of mental health in the community. His first completed marathon was dedicated to the association and the 'For Mental Health' project, running the route of the Zagreb Marathon.
The final part of the celebration was a lecture by Sinisa Blazs, a professor and specialist in clinical psychology with years of experience in the field of mental health protection and addiction prevention. The lecture attracted an interested audience of professionals from the fields of education, social care, healthcare, justice, and business.
Professor Blazs shared knowledge and practical insights on the importance of preserving mental health in the workplace and presented his publication 'How to Overcome Stress at Work'. The publisher of the publication is the Institute of Public Health 'Sveti Rok' of the Virovitica-Podravina County.
