The severe weather that struck Orahovića on the afternoon of 1 July caused material damage to several locations, despite its short duration. The most significant damage was recorded on the roof of the sports hall, where the wind damaged part of the roofing, allowing rainwater to enter the building.

Immediately following the storm, a joint operation by relevant authorities was launched. Firefighters and staff from the municipal utility were on the scene, while employees of the Ivana Brlić Mažuranić Primary School and the Stjepan Ivšić Secondary School also assisted. Water was being pumped out of the hall while the roof was temporarily repaired to prevent further damage, with works on the roof continuing into the evening.

The city mayor, Milan Babac, visited the most affected sites. "Thank you to everyone who responded immediately and showed the importance of unity in such situations," Mayor Babac said, announcing that the city would continue to inspect the area and address the consequences of the storm wherever necessary.

Staff from the municipal utility cleared broken branches and trees that posed a danger to residents during the afternoon and evening. The city administration stated that, in cooperation with relevant authorities, they would take all necessary measures to ensure that the consequences of the storm were resolved as soon as possible.
