The Croatian historical spectacle "Posljednji rimski bog" (The Last Roman God), directed by Domagoj Burić, had its official premiere at the CineStar Mall of Split multiplex in Split. The premiere was held the day before the film's regular cinema distribution began on 29 October.

The film centres on Emperor Diocletian, who founded the city beneath Marjan hill and built a palace there. It is a Croatian historical spectacle that brings to the big screen the story of a ruler whose legacy is still visible in the very heart of Split.

In addition to director Burić, the premiere was attended by actors Amar Bukvić, Nataša Janjić Medančić, Slavko Sobin, Marko Cindrić and Dragan Despot. Among the guests were Mayor Tomislav Šuta, Ana Gruica Uglešić, County Mayor Blaženko Boban, and Ivica and Marijana Puljak. The event was hosted by Mirta Šurjak.

The audience was able to watch the film simultaneously in three CineStar halls. In the cast, Marko Cindrić portrays Emperor Carinus, while Slavko Sobin takes on the role of Maximian.

Filming took place in Split, Solin and Velika Gorica, with certain scenes shot in Diocletian's cellars and Kaštelet. This directly linked the production to authentic locations associated with the Diocletian period.

Director Burić has a personal connection to Split — he served part of his military service in the city and was also a son-in-law of the town.
