The Istrian Cultural Agency and the Istrian Film Office are organising the first Istrian Film Marathon, titled "Film from Morning to Tomorrow". The event will take place on Friday, 30 October, and Friday, 6 November, at the Film Room in Pazin.
The audience can expect a total of 30 films by Istrian authors and works connected to Istrian themes. The programme covers various stories, genres and authorial approaches, with a large portion of the films created with the support of the Film Fund of the Istria County. Admission to all screenings is free.
The programme on 30 October will run from 9:00 to 22:40, while screenings on 6 November are scheduled from 9:00 to 21:40. Morning slots are designated for schools, while the evening programme offers tense film narratives for horror fans and other genres that evoke fear.
The Istrian Cultural Agency thanked the authors, producers and rights holders who made the film screenings possible, as well as the schools, teachers, partners and collaborators who participated in the realisation of the programme. The aim of the marathon is to further affirm the Film Room as a space for encounters, education, exchange of ideas and getting to know the film heritage.
The Film Room is located in the newly opened Magnus space, within the Pazin Centre for Culture and Education. It was realised within the framework of the REEL project – A Cinematic Journey through Italy and Croatia, co-financed by funds from the Interreg Italy – Croatia programme.
The organisers invite citizens to choose individual screenings or spend several hours with the films. They recommend arriving a few minutes before the start of the chosen screening and respecting the published schedule.
