The fifth edition of the Croatian Folk Drama Festival, 'Murtski cimeri', began in Murtsko Središće on Friday, 2 October. The first day of the festival featured five performances, with the opening ceremony taking place at 16:00, followed immediately by the competitive programme.

The competitive segment opened at 16:15 with the performance 'Ko je zhakeral Andu Frkan' by the Amateur Theatre Group 'Glumači' of KUD 'Anka Ošpuh' from Ludbreg, based on a work by Aleksandar Horvat. At 17:30, the local theatre group of the Municipality of Donji Kraljevec performed 'Štefk Soldat' by Št'f'c' Fan'ek. The evening programme continued at 19:15 with the drama studio 'LOCUS' from the KNAP Centre in Zagreb, presenting 'Svadbeni rekv'jem' by Marina Pavel'c. This was followed at 20:30 by a performance by Če'ska beseda Š'bov'c of 'Zatracen' z'b''. At 21:30, KUD Lobor presented 'Č'rne ml'ke' by Ana Brle'c'c, bringing the first day of the festival to a close with a round table discussion on the performances presented.

The following day, Saturday 3 October, was dedicated to amateur theatre. The second day of the festival attracted numerous theatre enthusiasts to the 'Rudar' Culture Centre, which became the hub for theatre groups from various parts of Croatia. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy a full day of programme filled with local humour, emotion, and stories from everyday life, featuring five performances.

The Saturday programme began at 10:30 with the performance 'Idu sv'ti' by HPD Zelina and the Zelina Amateur Theatre ZAmKa. At 14:00, the audience was treated to a performance by HKUU 'Trenk' from Nova Gradiška, presenting 'Sn'jder'ce', followed by 'T'ko... a n'pok' from the Theatre Association 'Dr'sk' of Vi'jevo. The Sinj folk theatre performed 'D'ja Manz'na i Mate M'str'a', while the theatre marathon concluded with the performance 'Prok'v'š'o š'k's'ke' av'le' by the Županja Theatre.

The festival continued on Sunday, 4 October, with four further performances. The Sunday programme began at 10:00 with a performance by the Vel'ko Pu'c' Te'atr, presenting 'Sp'j'lc' with the performance 'Sp'j'lc' by the Vel'ko Pu'c' Te'atr. The Sunday programme concluded with a performance by the Gl'mi'sn' D'ž'n' 'V'je' presenting 'Š'rm'r v' š'k'pr'c' at 16:00. Following the performances, a round table was held, and at 18:30, the nominations and awards were announced, along with the closing ceremony of the festival. Entry to all performances was free.
