The hit monodrama "MARE #womanmotheractress" by renowned actress Marijana Mikulić is coming to Imotski, where it will be performed on Friday, 27 November, starting at 20:00 at the Imotski City Cinema.
The play has so far been performed more than 50 times and has attracted nearly 25,000 spectators across Croatia. It follows eight sold-out performances in Split and 18 sold-out slots at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb. The monodrama has also been performed to full houses in Osijek, Slavonski Brod, Požega, Rijeka, Pula, Zadar, Metković, Dubrovnik and numerous other cities.
At the heart of the monodrama is a woman trying to reconcile various life roles – mother, wife, daughter, friend and actress. Marijana Mikulić brings experiences from her own life to the stage, speaking openly about marriage, parenthood and her acting career. The themes the play raises include partnerships, motherhood, professional obligations, societal expectations, compromises and feelings of guilt.
Marijana Mikulić will also participate in the O SVOM POSLU 2026 conference in Imotski, which will take place on Saturday, 28 November, at the Imotski Cinema Hall. The actress will speak on the topic "Can you live from your own story?" in a conversation with host Anamarija Grabovac.
The conference is aimed at entrepreneurs from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the all-day programme is expected to feature 15 speakers. Tickets for the monodrama performance are available via the Entrio system, and tickets for the O SVOM POSLU 2026 conference can be purchased at the same place.
