The organizers of the Golden Strings of Slavonia, the longest-running tambura festival in Croatia, are promoting this year's edition with video messages in which well-known individuals invite the public to Požega, 034portal reports.
The first video message was sent by actress Ana Marija Veselčić from Vinkovci, known to the wider public for her role in the series Diva Wild Bees. She appeared from the Pula film festival and invited fans of tambura music to visit Požega in early September.
The festival was also supported by the renowned tennis player Goran Ivanišević, who recorded a message on the tennis courts in Umag. The organizers announce that more well-known names will appear in the campaign.
Golden Strings of Slavonia has been gathering the best performers of tambura music for decades and is among the most important musical events in Slavonia. The festival is traditionally held on the first weekend of September, when Požeba becomes the centre of tambura music, hosting performers and visitors from across Croatia and abroad.
