Around 100 pilgrims from various parts of Croatia have set off on the Camino Podravina. The start was at the church of St. Kuzma and Daminjan in Kuzminac, from where they headed towards Ludbreg.

The section from Kuzminac to Ludbreg is 23 kilometres long. This is the first part of this year's pilgrimage, which spans two days.

During the two days, the pilgrims will walk a total of 38 kilometres along the Camino Podravina and a small part of the route of the Međimurje Camino. For the participants, free accommodation has been arranged in the hall of the NK Podravina in Ludbreg.

The weekend pilgrimage concludes with a solemn mass in the church of St. Francis of Assisi in Veliki Bukovec. This year's pilgrimage connects the veneration of St. James and St. Francis, and is marked by the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis.

All participants received a special Compostela, a certificate prepared for this pilgrimage dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi. This allows each pilgrim to receive an official certificate of participation at the end of the journey.

The organizers have prepared a route that connects the Podravina and Međimurje regions, with the aim of bringing together believers from across the country. The pilgrimage started in Kuzminac and will end in Veliki Bukovec, where the closing ceremony will be held.
