German club Werder Bremen hosted a match on Saturday featuring legends of the club and Real Madrid. The hosts won 4:3, with the occasion marking the 100th anniversary of the Weser Stadium.
The former Croatian international Ivan Klasnić also took part in the event. Alongside him, two Brazilians who left a huge mark on Bremen – Diego and Naldo – played. The squad also included 2014 World Cup winner Per Mertesacker.
Players such as Pepe, Maicon, and Cambiasso, representing Spanish and world-class giants, took to the field. Despite the star-studded lineups on both sides, the greatest attention was drawn to a moment during the break.
A video emerged on social media showing that during the break, the players were served beer and spirits instead of water or juice. The cameras captured the Brazilian Ailton with a beer in his hand, and the video quickly went viral.
Ailton was a teammate of our Klasnić in the 2003/04 season, in which they left behind a mighty Bayern. In the same season, they also won the cup with a victory against Alemannia Aachen.
