The 'Janine 2026' tennis tournament concluded successfully in Lobor, reaffirming its status as one of the region's most popular sporting events. The competition unfolded in an excellent atmosphere, characterised by high-quality, nail-biting matches and a strong spirit of sportsmanship and fair play that defined the entire event.
The tournament final took place on Friday, 24 July, when the quarter-final matches were held. The following day, Saturday 25 July, saw the season's key matches, including the semi-finals, the third-place play-off, and the grand final. Spectators helped ensure the event's success with their enthusiastic support, and the number of participants and visitors has grown year on year.
The title was won by Martin Gaić, who defeated Filip Glampa in the decisive match. Third place in the men's singles went to Ivan Sviben, while fourth place was taken by Jurica Čehulić. The organisers thanked all participants, sponsors, and the local municipality for their support during the tournament.
The local municipality has provided continuous support for this sporting event. The head of the Lobor municipality, Ljubiša Jambriak, stated that such events hold great value for the local community. According to her, the municipality supports these events as they enrich social life, promote a healthy lifestyle, and enhance Lobor's profile.
