The Croatian U18 team secured eighth place at the EuroBasket Division B after losing to Georgia in the seventh-place playoff. The match took place in Opatia, with the Croatian juniors recording three consecutive defeats following their group stage victories.

The match was held at the Marino Cvetković Hall in front of 200 spectators. The result was closely contested, with the final 81-83 to Georgia marking the end of the Croatian team's journey. The referees for the match were Petrov from Bulgaria, Krajnc from Slovenia, and Gaduel from France.

The first half ended 19-20 in favour of Georgia, but the Croatian team showed better play in the second half, taking a 26-12 lead. However, the third quarter saw a turnaround, as Georgia won that quarter 16-27, taking control of the game and ultimately holding on to their lead until the final whistle.
