Košarkaški klub Poreč is marking its 50th anniversary this year. On this occasion, the club will hold a formal assembly on Friday, 23 October, the club announced.
The event will take place at 18:00 at the Obrtnički dom in Poreč. The club is inviting former and current members, volunteers, parents, friends, and all basketball enthusiasts to join in celebrating this significant milestone.
The 50th anniversary celebration began with a tournament in May of this year. The formal assembly represents the central event of the anniversary, for which the club wishes to pay tribute to all those who, over the past five decades, have contributed to its development through their work and dedication.
The anniversary is also an opportunity to reflect on the club’s rich history and to highlight the importance of sport, volunteering, community, and intergenerational connection. The organisers note that this is a moment when the generations that built the club and those who currently lead it come together.
The invitation is open to all who have in any way been part of the club’s story — from players and coaches to parents and volunteers. The event is expected to bring together a large number of guests and friends of basketball from Poreč and the surrounding area.
