Lopar on the island of Rab will host the 20th edition of the Rab Trail on Saturday, 26 September. The race has grown into one of the most anticipated trail events on the Croatian coast, and this year's edition is also the 11th round of the Trekking League.

The start and finish are traditionally located on the beach in Lopar. Participants from Croatia and many European countries are expected to run through some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Kvarner, with the option to choose from three trails, each with different levels of difficulty and character.

The most challenging is the Challenger trail, which spans 23 kilometres with a 500-metre ascent. The route passes through rocky terrain and pine forests on the Lopar peninsula. The Active trail is 13 kilometres long, while the Light trail is 6 kilometres long and intended for recreational runners and families.

All three trails pass through sandy coves and rocky ridges, with attractive viewpoints opening up along the way, offering views of nearby islands. The race is distinctive for its finish through the shallow waters of the beach in Lopar.

This year's edition is, for the third time, part of the Rab Trail Weekend, a two-day event combining two races. The day after the Rab Trail, on Sunday, 27 September, the Rab Arba Trail on the Kalifront peninsula is scheduled. Sunday, 27 September, is also World Tourism Day.
