Croatian futsal champions Olmissum from Omiš will play Barcelona in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. The tie was determined by a draw held on Wednesday in Nyon, Switzerland, meaning Olmissum will face the four-time European champions.

Olmissum secured a place in the top 16 by finishing third in the group they hosted at the end of October. They finished behind Sporting Lisbon and Stalitsa Minsk, but ahead of Étoile Lavalloise. The Omiš side drew 1-1 with French side Étoile Lavalloise and 4-4 with Belarusian Stalitsa Minsk, while losing 9-1 to current European champions Sporting.

The key moment of the group stage was the match against Stalitsa, where Olmissum scored two goals in the final minute to secure a draw that guaranteed their progression. That result ultimately proved sufficient for third place and a continuation in the competition.

Barcelona won all three of their matches in the main round this season with a goal difference of 23:2. The Catalans beat Slovakia’s Lučenec 11-0, and Switzerland’s Minerva and Kazakhstan’s Semei 6-1 each.

The first leg of the last 16 is scheduled for 23 November, when Olmissum will host Barcelona. The return leg will be played on 4 December in Catalonia, and the winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the quarter-finals.

The final tournament for the top four European teams will be held from 7 to 9 May 2027 in the Swiss city of Biel.
