The Environment and Energy Efficiency Fund (FZOEU) is preparing to implement a new round of support for sustainable mobility, with the key step in the process being the announcement of a public tender. According to the announcements, the tender for the subsidisation of zero-emission vehicles, namely electric cars, is due to be published officially in October. This measure is part of a wider strategy aimed at promoting the green transition across the country, with a note that legal entities can also rely on the current incentives, thereby creating a more comprehensive support framework.
The financial envelope for this year is approximately 58 million euros, a significant sum allocated to promoting environmentally friendly transport. Within this envelope, the majority, namely 38 million euros, is directed towards promoting renewable energy, primarily through the subsidisation of photovoltaic power plants. However, the remaining approximately 20 million euros is allocated exclusively to subsidising electric vehicles, indicating a clear priority in encouraging changes in transport habits. Citizens planning to purchase new vehicles should therefore wait approximately a month to take advantage of the favourable conditions of this tender.
It is important to note that not all vehicles are covered by these incentives. Within the framework of these measures, subsidies will be available only for vehicles in categories L1 to L7, which includes mopeds, motorcycles, trikes, quadricycles, as well as passenger vehicles powered by electricity or hydrogen. It is particularly important to note that plug-in hybrid vehicles will not be subsidised this year, significantly limiting the pool of eligible beneficiaries who can claim a refund of part of the money. It is expected that details of the application process, as well as the exact conditions, will be known following the publication of the tender, given that in previous years applications were submitted exclusively via the Fund’s application.
In addition to the tender for electric vehicles, it is important to highlight other activities within the same period. Indeed, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Efficiency has announced that it will begin the implementation of a programme to promote the installation of energy-efficient devices, such as heat pumps and battery systems. At the same time, a tender has been opened for transport operators, including taxi and delivery services, with applications accepted until 30 September 2026. This parallel implementation of measures for individuals and business entities indicates a comprehensive approach by the government to promoting the green transition across all segments of society.
