Maritime traffic in the first nine months of this year achieved 67,012 arrivals and 444,419 overnight stays, according to data from Morski.hr.
Compared with the same period in 2025, there were 16,523 more arrivals. This increase corresponds to a growth of 32.73 per cent on last year's figures.
At the same time, 106,878 more overnight stays were recorded than in the first nine months of last year. The rise in overnight stays stands at 31.66 per cent, confirming that the growth in maritime traffic is not limited to the number of arrivals but is also reflected in the length of vessel stays.
The data cover the first nine months of the current year and relate to total maritime traffic. Comparison with the same period of the previous year shows that both arrivals and overnight stays recorded double-digit growth, continuing a positive trend in this segment.
The rise of nearly a third in both observed categories indicates that the maritime sector achieved significantly higher activity in the observed period than a year earlier. Specifically, the number of arrivals is higher by just under a fifth of last year's total number of arrivals, while the number of overnight stays increased by more than 100,000.
A more detailed structure of traffic by month, type of vessel or individual port is not included in the available data, which relate exclusively to total values for the first nine months and their comparison with the same period in 2025.
